Meet Kade!

Kade Thompson is a joyful 4‑year‑old boy from Ossipee, NH. Born at Memorial Hospital, he was immediately transferred to the NICU in Portland, ME, where he spent the first month of his life. Kade was diagnosed with microcephaly, a condition in which the head is smaller than expected and can affect brain development, motor skills, vision, and speech.

Throughout his young life, Kade has undergone multiple heart surgeries. He is legally blind, non‑verbal, and unable to stand or walk. Despite these challenges, Kade understands the world around him. He loves being outdoors and enjoys attending Ossipee Central Preschool, where he is surrounded by a caring community.

This year, we are rallying together to help Kade and his family purchase a handicap‑accessible van. Reliable transportation is essential for getting him to school as well as to his many medical appointments in Portland and Boston. Your support will make a meaningful difference in Kade’s daily life and long‑term care.
