9TH ANNUAL CYNTHIA'S CHALLENGE 24-HOUR SKI DAY FOR BRYSON HERLIHY

February 2023
We here at Cynthia’s Challenge are excited to announce this year’s recipient.  Bryson Herlihy of Fryeburg, Maine.  Bryson is an energetic 13 year old, in eighth grade at Molly Ockett School.  He lives with his mother Aimee, father TJ and brothers and sisters.  Bryson enjoys motor sports, hunting, mechanics and welding with his grandfathers.

When Bryson was one and a half years old he was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma (cancer that forms in bone) in the right femur. After many chemotherapy and radiation treatments, Bryson endured several surgeries.  His tibia was moved to his thigh.  This has hindered the growth plates of the leg resulting in loss of strength.

Bryson is limited to no contact or running sports, he enjoys watching football, basketball and baseball; typical 13 year old boy sports.

Doctors say that swimming and weightlifting are some of the best strength building exercises that Bryson can do.

We here at Cynthia’s Challenge are looking to raise funds so we can purchase a therapeutic swim spa for Bryson.
